Scotch tape is a polymer film, one or two sides of which are coated with a special adhesive. Adhesive tape is easily fixed on the surfaces of any materials and is used for packaging and packing.
The stability and quality of the adhesive tape depends on the adhesive base. This base is made from acrylic or rubber glue. Acrylic can easily tolerate heat, but is not frost-resistant. It retains its properties only up to a temperature of -5C. The rubber base can withstand temperatures from -25C to +50C. To increase these indicators, special substances are added to the glue composition.
